Two Trees Observing Site

Directions: The observing site is located between Sedona and Cottonwood off of 89A north of FR525 and west on FR761B.

Directions to Cherry Rd observing site: From the Verde Valley take I-17 south to the Cherry Road exit (Exit 278) and turn right (west) from the freeway. This is also Highway 169. Go west about 5 miles, just beyond marker 10. There is a sign which says "Cherry 6". At the sign, turn left (south). Note: This is the opposite way the arrow on the sign points. You will be on a pretty well-maintained dirt road, however, there are some natural speed bumps, so drive slow. The site is located 0.5 mile south of the hard surfaced Cherry Road. The observing field is a large meadow to your right (west) thru a gate. It is marked with the traditional Boy Scout rock marker, i.e., several rocks stacked on top of each other at the turn off.

Montezuma
Well 

Directions to Montezuma Well observing site: Off of I17, exit at Exit 293. The exit is also known as the Cornville Road exit going west. For the out-of-towners, don't confuse this with the Montezuma Castle exit. Although the Well site is part of the Montezuma Castle National Monument, it is physically separate from the Castle, which is further south. To reach Montezuma's Well, drive east for about 4 miles on Beaver Creek Road. Stay on Beaver Creek Road as it goes past the Montezuma Lake turnoff. The entrance to the site is on the right.

Directions: Take historic 89A in Cottonwood towards Clarkdale. Turn right on North 10th St. Drive past Riverfront Park on the right. The road will swing left, go over the river and swing right.  The entrance to Dead Horse Ranch State Park will be on your right.

Directions: Take historic 89A in Cottonwood towards Clarkdale. Turn right on North 10th St. Riverfront Park is on the right.

Directions: Go 7.7 miles South on 89A from the Jerome fire station and turn left at the "top of Mingus" just past the "Elevation 7023" sign. Follow the road past the forest road  #413 split. Stay left past a large open fenced field on the left. Shortly thereafter the camp buildings will be easily seen on the left. At the camp, watch for the Star Party sign. The total distance on the dirt road from the highway to the camp should be about 2.4 miles. If you are confused, call Bill Kelley.

Directions: Take 89A South from Sedona towards Cottonwood, turn on Lower Red Rock Loop Road. Park entrance is about three miles on the right.

Directions: Take Highway 89A (South) from Cottonwood towards Clarkdale, Jerome and Prescott - the highway actually heads West and North West in this section. The entrance to the Medical Center is on the right after you pass Willard. For Club meetings on Saturdays at 6:30PM, enter the building through the Out-patients' entrance on the left, turn right on the main corridor and walk all the way to the end of the building (the exercise is good for you and medical attention is close at hand) to Conference Room B.
